Looking for hope?
There is
hope.
Whatever has brought you here, grief, addiction, loneliness, guilt, or a life that has not gone the way you hoped, the hope we have is not a feeling or a technique. It is a person: Jesus Christ.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Jesus, Matthew 11:28
The good news
Where hope
comes from.
01
You are loved
God made you and He loves you. Not the person you think you should be: you, as you are today.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
02
We have all fallen short
Every one of us has gone our own way. The Bible calls it sin, and it is why so much in us and around us is broken.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
03
Jesus paid for it
Jesus died on the cross in our place. His death paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world, and God raised Him from the dead.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
04
Turn to Him
Salvation is a free gift. You cannot earn it; you receive it, by turning from your old life and putting your trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
05
Become new
God does not just forgive. He remakes, the way a potter reshapes clay. That is where our name comes from.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
